My Fiance Rob (@lil_red_man) Is Doing Something Amazing For His 34th Bday!

My Fiance Rob is doing something amazing for his 34th birthday. He's doing a Charity Water Campaign just like my Hero Alyssa Milano has done and I will be doing for my 25th birthday in January. This amazing organization gives clean water to those who need it. I will be donating hopefully next week but you can help now by donating or spreading the word. Every little bit helps.

So, help my amazing and inspirational fiance and love of my life by donating and/or sharing his campaign: http://www.mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=30406

Good News and Bad News

Well I have some good news and some bad news. Going to get the bad news out of the way first. A very good Family Friend Don passed away suddenly this Labor Day due to an accidental drowning. He and my Godmother lived together and were out on a boat and were wadding in the water and they didn't know how close they were to the ledge of the deep part of the river and Don slipped and went down and took my godmother with him. He managed to get my godmother back to the shallow end and she had ahold of his hand but he slipped from her grip and drowned. RIP DB we will miss you alot. I will miss all the times we laughed together and I will miss your music too. He was a bass player in a band with his brother called 10 spot. I just saw them play this past June. Don was also the bass player at one point for the 80's band A Flock Of Seagulls. :(  My 2nd bad news is my Grandma. We thought she had another hernia but she doesn't have one she has an infection and is on antibotics for it but may still have to be operated on. :(

Life can change in an instant so always be grateful for the things you have and the people you have in your life you never know when you will last talk to them.

My good news is hopefully soon I will be volunteering at least once a week to start off at the animal shelter here in Jacksonville where I got my cat Angel from. It makes me feel so good to know I am doing something good for homeless pets. Alyssa Milano is my hero and biggest inspiration for doing good in this world whenever I can. She is amazing. She makes me believe that there is still good in this world and that by giving back we can make our world a better place. Throughout my life I have done countless fundraisers for my schools and my club FCCLA Family Career Community Leaders of America, I did Jump Rope For Heart throughout my elementary school years. In my summer programs I did Meals on Wheels and volunteered at the food bank in Richmond, VA when I was a preteen. I have done the Anthem Heart Walk and the MS Walk in Richmond with my mom and her friends. I donated to Alyssa's incredible cause for her son Milo's 1st bday and you still can too http://www.indiegogo.com/MilosBirthday?c=home So now volunteering at the animal shelter adds to all the good things I have done throughout my life and I couldn't do it without my biggest Inspiration in life Alyssa Milano. I love you so much Alyssa and I always will.

My last good news is my dad who is a recovering alcoholic has been sober for a year now. He hasn't had a drop of alcohol in one year! Also he is down to smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day and is working on quitting that. :)

Well that's all my news so far and I just want to sum up by saying how much I love my hero Alyssa Milano, my fiance Rob, and my BFF's Lisa, Sarah, Ellen, Natalie, Jen, Lippy and more! Never forget how much I love you all.

One last word: Please send prayers and good vibes to 2 wonderful, inspirational, and courageous guys Lippy and Geno (LippyJimmy and Genosworld on twitter) who are both battling cancer right now. I know they will both beat that horrible disease because they are both incredibly strong and I believe in them 100 %. I am behind them 100 % also. You can do it guys! Fuck Cancer!

The Meaning Of Life

2 days ago I found out that one of my Grandma's best friends passed away. His name was Bob and he was there for my grandma when my grandpa passed away and she was there for him when his wife passed away. He and his son just recently rebuilt their house they lived right down the street from my grandma and they had to rebuild their house because a fire destroyed their old one. RIP Bob. :(

This sadness got me thinking about what the meaning of life is. The meaning of life to me is know who is the most important in your life and letting those people know how much you love them everyday. Knowing that life is short and we only have one to live and to make the most out of our lives. It's giving to those who are less fortunate and making others lives better and happier. It's knowing that you can overcome any struggle as long as you have courage, determination, hope, love and support. It's about being happy and having fun whenever possilble. Life is mean to be enjoyed. It's striving to make all of your dreams come true no matter what. That's what the meaning of life is to me.

The first statement is of particular importance to me because I have some of the best people in my life. My hero, Idol, and biggest inspiration in life Alyssa Milano. She makes me happy and smile every single day. My day and life wouldn't be complete without her in it. She has the mot caring, compassionate, and loving heart. She has love for everybody and gives back whenever she can. She is the twitter queen. She shows everyone the importance of kindness and compassion. She wants nothing but the best for everyone and that makes me love her even more then I already do. She is one of the best role models we have today and role models are important in shaping our lives and who we want to be. Everyone should look up to Alyssa!

My amazing Fiance Rob and my BFF's Jen, Lisa, Natalie, Lippy, Sarah, Ellen, and my rekindled friendships with Liz and Lisa D. I am so happy and thankful to have all of them in my life. They make me feel like I can do anything and be the best I can be. They are always there for me and I love them so much. Everyone should have friends like I have. They will make your life so much easier to get through and happier too.

I don't know everything as I am only 24 but I do know a lot and what I do know is life any and all life is precious and what we do now affects what happens to our planet and everyone in it in the future. We need to nuture love not hate. We need to spread peace and the importance of giving back to those in need just like Alyssa does. She has inspired me to be the best I can be and help whenever and however I can.

We can start by helping Alyssa and her precious baby boy Milo with her and Milo's first birthday campaign for St. Jude. http://www.indiegogo.com/MilosBirthday Any amount will do. I donated and it made me feel so happy and good to be able to help and even if you can't donate just spreading the word so that others can is a big help as well.

@Alyssa_Milano & Milo raising money for St. Jude for Milo's 1st Birthday!

My Hero Alyssa Milano is being her inspirational and amazing self once again. Alyssa and her beautiful baby boy Milo are raising funds for a 4 year old boy with Leukemia and St. Jude where he is being treated for Milo's 1st birthday. Alyssa is truly amazing and my biggest inspiration in life. When somebody needs help she is there to help whether man, woman, child or even animal she is there to help. She reminds me that there is still good in this world and that all of us need to do what we can to make our world a better place.

I have donated to Alyssa and Milo's wonderful fundraiser and you can too or if you can't you can at least spread the word so that others can. I know this is a short blog but it's packed full of meaning and love. Please if you can donate to this wonderful funderaiser and if you can't please spread the word so that others can help.

http://www.indiegogo.com/MilosBirthday just click this link and follow the instructions to donate like I did.

Together we can help Alyssa and Milo reach their goal or maybe even surpass it.

Senseless Tragedy

I went to bed last night and everything was fine and normal. I woke up this morning to my fiance Rob telling me about this mass murder in a theater in Aurora, Colorado. I was totally shocked and sadden by this senseless violence. I can't believe this keeps happening and I will never understand it. I will never understand why we have to kill each other.

The first thing that came to my mind when I first heard about this tragedy was the Virginia Tech Tragedy in 2007. I remember that like it was yesterday. Some of you don't know but I am orginally from Virginia. I was born and raised in Richmond. I was at college that day and was driving home and heard about it on the radio. I was completely shocked. I remember getting home as fast as I could turning on CNN and calling my best friend Sarah. One of our closest friends went there but she was fine. My cousin graduated from there. Sarah and I know other people who went there. I couldn't believe that was happening in my home state. So this morning when I heard about the tragedy in Colorado I was like "no not again." I don't understand some of the people in our world. I don't understand all of the hate and violence. I may seem old fashioned and I am only 24 my dad says I was born in the wrong decade and that I should have grown up in the 60's because I have such a hippie mentality. I believe in peace and love for all. What we can all take from this tragedy is that we only live once. We need to make the most of our lives and do all we can to make our world a better place. We need to say "I love you" to the ones we love the most because we might not get that chance again. Make everyday count for something good. Be grateful for what we do have. Look up to the amazing people we do have in our world such as my hero Alyssa Milano.

My hero Alyssa Milano tweeted once " I want a world where we take of each other and our beautiful planet. One people. One planet. One Love." That is my favorite tweet ever of hers. I hope we have a world like that someday. Alyssa is such a huge inspiration to me and others and gives me so much hope for humanity especially during times like today. She is such a positive and good force in a world full of hate and violence. If we all take inspiration from her and do what we can to make our world a better place I am sure we can achieve a world that Alyssa and I want. We need more role models like Alyssa in this world.

I want to end this post with 4 of my favorite songs that give hope in times like today.

Martina McBride "Anyway" The Beatles "All You Need Is Love" John Lennon "Imagine" The Black Eyed Peas "Where Is The Love?"

I hope these songs inspire you as much as they inspire me. My love and prayers go out to all affected by the senseless tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. Peace and Love Y'all!
